Greenbone Networks was founded in 2008 by leading experts in Network Security and Free Software. The private company is based in Osnabrück. The Greenbone Security Managers (GSM), open source-based solutions for vulnerability analysis and management, are used around the globe today.
GSM is the perfect complement to reactive security tools like firewalls & Co. It identifies security gaps in corporate IT and evaluates their risk potential. He then recommends measures to remedy the vulnerabilities found. The aim is to identify points of attack before the cyber criminals and to prevent attacks through targeted precautionary measures. Practical experience shows that 999 out of 1000 exploited vulnerabilities were already known for over 12 months. The turnkey appliance solution can be put into operation within 10 minutes. An important component of GSM is a daily security update with over 71,000 vulnerability tests.
Greenbone attaches great importance to transparency and quality: The customers receive a completely verifiable product "Made in Germany" instead of a black box. This even goes down well at the top of the list: On the basis of a federal license agreement with the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), Greenbone also supports German authorities in the fight against cyber-attacks.
